New Images Of The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Leaked Online

images (6)The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is one of a number of new variants of Samsung’s latest flagship device which is about to hit the market. Along with the waterproof Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S4 Mini the device has been a hot topic in recent weeks.

As you can probably gather from its name, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is based on the Galaxy S4, but its spec list centres around its camera. The device is rumoured to sport a 16 megapixel camera, upgraded from the 13 megapixel camera of the Galaxy S4. Additionally, the phone comes with a 10x optical zoom, which will certainly be noticeable on the back of the handset. Android Authority has recently reported on new photos of the phone which have been leaked, and although the device has not been officially announced by Samsung, the photos coincide previously leaked images of the handset.

The back of the handset is dominated by the huge camera lens, which has a similar appearance to the Samsung Galaxy Camera. Additionally, the phone also has a dedicated camera key, so the phone is truly a hybrid between a high end smartphone and a standalone digital camera. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom will have plenty of other impressive features besides its camera. The phone is rumoured to include a 4.3 inch super AMOLED qHD display, 8 GB of internal storage with microSD support, 1.6 GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2.2 Jellybean with the TouchWiz interface. Apart from its camera, the phone appears to have largely the same spec list as the Galaxy S4 Mini.

Of course, part of the appeal of Samsung’s previous smartphone/camera crossover, the Galaxy Camera is its ability to share high quality photos using a variety of connection types. This is also the case with the Galaxy S4 Zoom, which comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and of course 3G.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is expected to be officially unveiled on June 20th, at Samsung’s London based Premier event.
