Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumoured To Include An S-Pen Like The Galaxy Note 2

2012 December 28

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the talk of the mobile phone industry and for good reason. The phone is the follow up to this year’s flagship device from the South Korean manufacturer, so big things are expected of the new model.

The Galaxy S3 has been the hit smartphone of 2012, and one of the most popular models of all time for Samsung. After just 100 days on the market, the phone reached the impressive milestone of 20 million sales, and reached 30 million another 50 days later making it one of the fastest selling mobile phones ever.

Along with its commercial success came widespread critical acclaim on account of its impressive hardware and innovative software features. With a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen and the latest instalment of the Android OS it is easy to see why the phone has proven to be so popular.

Of course, the success of the Galaxy S3 means that the Galaxy S4 will have some big shoes to fill. There have been rumours regarding this handset circulating for months now which have thrown up all sorts of theories about what to expect. One of the latest rumours has come from PhoneArena, which claims a source in South Korea (homeland of Samsung) has confirmed that the Galaxy S4 will sport an S-Pen stylus like its Galaxy Note 2 counterpart. Apparently this comes after a Samsung executive quoted that the Galaxy S4 will bring together the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note ranges, so an S-Pen would certainly fit the bill. The phone is also rumoured to be slightly thicker than the Galaxy S3 which could be to accommodate an S-Pen.

Until Samsung makes an official announcement though, take this information with a pinch of salt. With a rumoured release date of April 2013, we can expect many more rumours about the phone to surface. As usual we will keep you updated with all the latest news and information on the Samsung Galaxy S4 as we hear it.
